Application for showing currently playing and upcoming RealD 3D movie trailers, and finding RealD 3D movies near a particular location and showing them on a map. I used the LAMP stack, jQuery, and Google Maps API and well as a an ASP Web Service using PHP and SOAP calls for the search. Nothing overly complicated with the website or application except for using the new Open Graph custom objects and actions to indicate app activity to the user's friends. The client requested an admin area for manually updating the website even after I had found an XML feed on their main website that provided the necessary information and offered to automate the process by pulling the feed with a cron job. A mistake I believe, but perhaps the client wanted job security. The application is still active and can be found atSite URL:
Application implementing Autodesk's Discovery tool. Technologies used include the Standard LAMP stack as well as custom image generation, custom email with PHP Mailer, and custom PDF generation with TCPDF. The client also requested leads be sent to their CRM Aprimo, so I sent them on form submit, and on a cron job. The application is still active as a Facebook tab application and can be found atSite URL: https://www.facebook.com/NeuralDesigns/app_462597420438853
Bracket contest for Zynga models. Nothing too crazy here...standard LAMP stack...stored model data in MySQL, updated brackets in real-time with PHP on page load. Some JSON for passing model data around. If I had been marketing the app I would have encouraged the app on the model's fan pages or started with an amateur model contest first to determine who gets into the brackets in the first place and to encourage a more viral response, but I was just the developer on the project. The tab application version is still live and can be found atSite URL: https://www.facebook.com/NeuralDesigns/app_369309789758407
Contest aimed at hairdressers and customers. Basic LAMP setup with form entries and automated emails, with the data being stored in MySQL. Nothing overly complicated here. There's an admin area, and a distinct mobile version of the contest forms using jQuery Mobile. The contest is over and has been sandboxed, so there is no publically available version.Site URL: None
Built on the Wordpress platform using PHP and jQuery I re-used a lot of my previous code from my Facebook application and released this widget plugin on the Wordpress.org website. So far people seem to have found it useful for displaying their wishlist on thier blog, and I get a commission on any items bought through the links. I recently internationalized the plugin by putting all the translations in .po files. I plan on making a version available for Joomla and Drupal as well. The plugin can be found here.Site URL: http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-amazon-wishlist/
