Application for showing currently playing and upcoming RealD 3D movie trailers, and finding RealD 3D movies near a particular location and showing them on a map. I used the LAMP stack, jQuery, and Google Maps API and well as a an ASP Web Service using PHP and SOAP calls for the search. Nothing overly complicated with the website or application except for using the new Open Graph custom objects and actions to indicate app activity to the user's friends. The client requested an admin area for manually updating the website even after I had found an XML feed on their main website that provided the necessary information and offered to automate the process by pulling the feed with a cron job. A mistake I believe, but perhaps the client wanted job security. The application is still active and can be found at
Site URL:Application implementing Autodesk's Discovery tool. Technologies used include the Standard LAMP stack as well as custom image generation, custom email with PHP Mailer, and custom PDF generation with TCPDF. The client also requested leads be sent to their CRM Aprimo, so I sent them on form submit, and on a cron job. The application is still active as a Facebook tab application and can be found at

Nothing too crazy here...standard LAMP stack...stored model data in MySQL, updated brackets in real-time with PHP on page load. Some JSON for passing model data around. If I had been marketing the app I would have encouraged the app on the model's fan pages or started with an amateur model contest first to determine who gets into the brackets in the first place and to encourage a more viral response, but I was just the developer on the project. The tab application version is still live and can be found at
Site URL: https://www.facebook.com/NeuralDesigns/app_369309789758407Contest aimed at hairdressers and customers. Basic LAMP setup with form entries and automated emails, with the data being stored in MySQL. Nothing overly complicated here. There's an admin area, and a distinct mobile version of the contest forms using jQuery Mobile. The contest is over and has been sandboxed, so there is no publically available version.
Site URL: NoneThis was a Facebook tab application for creating custom cover's and profile images using Farmville related icons. The application uses the standard LAMP stack with the image manipulation being done with the PHP ImageMagick project and of course the Facebook PHP SDK and Javascript SDK's for the Facebook start/endpoints and jQuery for the AJAX calls. The project is no longer live, so there is no url for it.
Site URL: NoneThis was a facebook application that was a contest for Allegiant Air. I built the website using the standard LAMP stack. The app basically used jQuery and the Facebook javascript SDK to fill out a contest form by choosing a destination and arrival airport through a graphical interface and communicate the form info with an Aprimo CRM. Fairly straightforward. The contest is over and the app has been sandboxed.
Site URL: NoneThis was a contest application for Acura the band Metric. This application was actually pretty interesting and presented a few challenges. The contest was a promotion for the Metric tour and the new Acura ILX. I built the site as a single page javascript application using jQuery with PHP for keeping track of certain milestones that opened up new content. There were some additional social hooks for pulling in a Twitter feed and Instagram feed using JSON and caching them. The entry form data was stored in MySQL and also sent to their Aprimo CRM. The contest is over, and no longer publically available.
Site URL: NoneI built this application on my own as a way to make money through Amazon Affiliate links. The application allows a user to find their Amazon Wishlist ID and pull the wishlist JSON from Amazon, displaying it and allowing thier friends to comment on the items. The backend is a single PHP object with the front end being a single module pattern javascript object that keeps track of the UI. I prefer single module because of the encapsulation and modularity, though I may end up porting the app to a javascript framework like Node.js or Backbone.js. The application also uses Facebook's custom objects and actions to create stories that are reflected in a User's Activity stream.
Site URL: https://apps.facebook.com/importamazonwishlist/Built on the Wordpress platform using PHP and jQuery I re-used a lot of my previous code from my Facebook application and released this widget plugin on the Wordpress.org website. So far people seem to have found it useful for displaying their wishlist on thier blog, and I get a commission on any items bought through the links. I recently internationalized the plugin by putting all the translations in .po files. I plan on making a version available for Joomla and Drupal as well. The plugin can be found here.
Site URL: http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-amazon-wishlist/I built a responsive (Foundation 3/4 w/SASS), PHP and Ajax based website that included a rewrite of a Google Maps javascript app to use a Modular Pattern, JSON and jQuery. Reduced the size of the app by over 60%. The app uses JSON and Ajax calls to a Restful Web Service for getting map data from a PostgreSQL database. I also built a role based custom CMS for the website all based on the same technologies. Key innovations I came up with are inline CMS editing and internationalization based on country and language pull-downs using url analysis and Apache redirects, and uploadable/downloadable Excel copy decks. I also setup Google Analytics for metrics.
